SlopShamer privacy policy
SlopShamer is a browser extension that marks AI-generated and low-quality posts in your LinkedIn feed and, when you ask, suggests a comment. This page explains exactly what it reads, what it sends, and what is kept.
What the extension reads
- Only on your LinkedIn home feed (
linkedin.com/feed), and only posts already shown to you. - For each post that is not an ad: the author's name and headline, the post text, its hashtags, whether it is a repost, and the title of a shared link.
- It does not read your messages, your profile, your connections, your notifications, or any other site.
What is sent, and to whom
- The fields above are sent to SlopShamer's server (a Cloudflare Worker at
slop-shamer.ishanawasthi.com) together with a random install identifier the extension creates. The identifier is used only for rate limiting and is not linked to your LinkedIn account or identity. - The server asks TypeSafe's Jev model to judge the post text. When you click a badge, Cloudflare Workers AI writes the suggested comment. These services process the text only to answer the request.
- Your IP address reaches the server as part of any web request. SlopShamer uses it only for rate limiting and does not store it.
What is kept
- On the server: the judgment for each post (scores and verdict) and any comment written for it, stored for up to 30 days and keyed by a hash of the post, so the same post isn't judged twice. No account, browsing history or install identifier is stored with them.
- In your browser: your settings (whether SlopShamer is paused) and recent verdicts, so posts you scroll past again appear instantly. Removing the extension deletes them.
What SlopShamer never does
- It never posts, comments, reacts or follows on your behalf. The Shame! button only places a suggested comment in the post's comment box; you decide whether to post it.
- It does not sell or share data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking.
